In this issue:

  • A powerful new feature in the Finance area - Split Billing
  • Introducing the newest Denbigh Team member - fulfilling your training needs

Any billing transaction can be split across any number of families/parties

Previously with split families, both parties were sent an identical copy of the bill for a student’s fees. Now, any billing transaction can be split by percentage across two or more families/parties. Of course, families must be in the database (debtors).

Default charges are set up: F (Fees) and S (Sundries) and these can be split independently. Set the split once, and forget. Every time a billing run is done, the invoices will automatically be generated according to the split settings.

This feature is FREE to all customers on the Denbigh Administration Annual Licence. (A charge for customisation into individual systems may be applicable)

Example 1

Angus Lawson's parents have divorced, his mother has re-married and Angus' natural father has agreed to pay 75% of all his tuition costs.

Two seperate invoices are then generated with charges split between Angus' mother and natural father in the 25%:75% ratio.

Example 2

Angus Lawson's parents have divorced, his mother has re-married and Angus' natural father has agreed to pay 50% of all his tuition costs.

Two seperate invoices are then generated with charges split between Angus' mother and natural father in the 50%:50% ratio.

Example 3

Angus Lawson's grandmother has asked if she can pay for him to learn a musical instrument.
